Zhixin Zhang (Henry). he is a visual communication designer and researcher, and a hearing-impaired person. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Graphic Design from Chelsea College of Art and Design, University of the Arts London, and an MA in Graphic Design from Nottingham Trent University. His main research interest is in the study of communication issues and creative practices (particularly visual communication) of visual narratives of the ways in which hearing impaired people communicate. His interdisciplinary approach draws on resources both inside and outside visual culture studies, including anthropology, digital media, psychology, and sociology.
